The Northwest Golf Show on 710 ESPN | Nicole Gaddie

On August 18th The Northwest Golf Show on 710 ESPN will be bringing three lucky First Tee golfers to their studio to help host the show.

“I’m always excited to support youth golf programs and the opportunity to partner with The First Tee,” said ESPN co-host Shon Crewe.

Participants were asked to write a short essay on which of the nine core First Tee values have helped their golf game the most and why. Winners will be selected August 11th.

In addition to being on the show, winners will also have their questions answered by a PGA or LPGA professional.

The First Tee is an international youth development organization with a mission of impacting the lives of young people by introducing them to the values and game of golf.

Since 1997, 7.6 million junior golfers have participated in The First Tee. All 50 U.S. states and four international locations have chapters.

Professionals such as Sergio Garcia, Paula Creamer, and Billy Horschel are just a few of the big names who have been involved with the program. 12,000 volunteers and 5,300 elementary schools have also taken part.

Seattle’s chapter (The First Tee of Greater Seattle) formed in 2001 and offers programs at Jefferson and Jackson Park Golf Course. First Tee events can also be found at Crossroads Par 3 Golf Course in Bellevue and Riverbend Golf Complex in Kent.

The Northwest Golf Show airs weekly on Sundays. Make sure to tune in on August 18th at 9 am to hear from the selected winners and the surprise PGA or LPGA guest.
